It seems that a sportier edition and fastest New Range Rover Evoque Sport would emerge in the medium term. Gerry McGovern, design director at Land Rover, said that the project is in the air. It had already alluded to a sportier version of the Evoque in the past, and the project may be realized, now that Audi has unveiled its concept of Audi RS Q3, suggesting a rival in size to the 2013 Range Rover Evoque Sport.
“80% of buyers are new customers of Range Rover Evoque Sport, which allowed the company to expand its boundaries and extend its range,” says McGovern. For this model, the silhouette is a little more massive, larger wheels and a lowered suspension with 10 mm would be options for this new version.
It does not advance too Land Rover for the drive to reign in the sport version, but the current 4-cylinder 2.0-liter, 240 horsepower, an improved version would be a plausible choice. And given the popularity of the diesel, it is not excluded that uses an engine of this type, such as a 2.2 liter SD4 developing between 190 and 210 horsepower, capable of reaching 100 km/h under 7 seconds. Land Rover has not announced any prices for this Range Rover Evoque Sport Limited Edition, which arrive in late 2013.
