The luxury cars are available in some very exclusive models and that’s it. At Mercedes-Benz S-Class Sedan is the most sumptuous model of the brand, but it is possible to order it in different variations. If you have money, this prestigious German constructor is able to fill all your expectations and all of your whims. Indeed, as if these cars were not quite luxurious, you can now require specific colors, some exclusive arrangements, etc.

At one time, especially in respect of British luxury cars, the tradition prevailed and technology was often outdated. But Mercedes-Benz is Germanic and at this level it is the opposite: in addition to providing a level of comfort and sophisticated luxury, the Mercedes-Benz S Class to the Silver Star are a very advanced technological refinement. In addition, there are versions for vocation more ecological and, therefore, consuming less fuel.

Since last year, a model of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is powered by a diesel engine. Indeed, the Mercedes-Benz S350 BlueTEC 4MATIC manages to move this big sedan rather nervously. 0-100 Km/h is shot in 7.1 seconds, while consuming no more than 10 liters per 100 km. And the figures do not say everything, because driving a car with diesel engine in urban areas is very interesting because a very generous torque at low revs, which provides nerve accelerations in the circulation. And if you’re not a diesel fanatic, it is possible to order the Mercedes-Benz S400 HYBRID. Its 3.5L V6 works in harmony with a small electric motor that helps ensure a surplus of power when the engine is in charge. Did you know that this car was the first in the industry to use lithium-ion batteries to power its electric motor? We have to admit that this is not the most spectacular car in this range, but it still allows its constructor to register on the list of manufacturers of hybrid vehicles.

With the exception of these two a little greener models just to mention base is model S550 4Matic available in regular or elongated. In both cases, it uses the same V8 4.6L introduced last year. It uses direct injection and turbocharging to deliver 429 horsepower. As other mills mentioned above, it is associated with a box seven speed automatic.

At one time, several criticized the silhouette of this Mercedes-Benz S Class found a little too square and a little too traditional. The latest generation of this really high-end model is clearly more successful in this chapter. It combines a sporty look to fairly traditional lines that this category of models requires. We find the same criteria in the cockpit so that the finish is impeccable and very high quality materials. As any product from this manufacturer, the car is full of accessories of high technology especially to promote the active and passive security. The list is so long that could almost take several pages of this Guide to simply list them. But suffice it to emphasize that if a system is not on the list of Mercedes, is that this mechanism probably does not exist! In addition, through management by single command button, it is possible to adjust all the functions of the car. Let’s face it that it is not necessarily very intuitive at first, but the implacable logic of this system to tame quite easily.

When we order a luxury car, you generally want to get ‘the top of the top. For some, it will be the audio system, for others a choice of color or rims in particular, but for many others, it is the power of the engine and its displacement that count. For this customer, Mercedes-Benz offers three choices. In all first of all, there is the S600 and its V12 biturbo 5.5 liter producing 510 HP. This Cavalry to achieve 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. A V12 ensures very linear acceleration and a great smooth operation.

But if you want to be more under the pedal, there’s the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG including the biturbo V12 6.0L trained 621 horsepower and 738 lb – ft of torque. It is the fastest acceleration of the Mercedes-Benz S Class, but its driving sensation are somewhat dull by nature even a 12 cylinder smoothly. In this category of cars ‘ultra fast’, the prize goes to the S63 and its V8 5.5 liter twin-turbo engine that unpacks 536 horses and that loop the 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. It is the most interesting to fly because of changes made by the AMG division.
