The super-rich Bentley, part of the Volkswagen Group brands, presented on Monday at the Detroit Auto Show 2013 a convertible four sporty doors, the Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible, able to reach the stunning speed of 325 kilometres per hour.

A roaring engine with twelve cylinders capable up to 160 km/h in 9.7 seconds, it does not have the usual disadvantages of sports cars: with its British heritage, it is chic enough to carry even the Queen of England.

And even in winter, the VIP can greet the crowds or spinning at full speed hood lowered without taking cold: the seats are equipped with neck warmers.

Bentley Director General, Wolfgang Schreiber has promised at a press conference that the new “four convertible places the world’s fastest” would make “of the heady sensations” with “the comfort of a car for the year and a level unparalleled luxury and refinement.

Although this is not necessarily the concern for those who can afford it (the new sports sedan starts around US $ 200,000), Schreiber said that the new Bentley GT Convertible will be 15% less intensive in gasoline.

Bentley, despite with prices up to US $ 300,000 for its Mulsanne limousine and despite a slowed world economy, managed to sell 8510 vehicles last year, an increase of 22% over one year.

The United States was the biggest market for Bentley in 2012 with 2315 past cars, slightly more than in a Chinese market that is growing at full speed.
