Since its release in 2003, the Bentley Continental GT is promoted as one of most popular sports cars in the world of the automobile. To celebrate its 9 years of existence, the elegant cut British to pay some small aesthetic changes and above all, it now adopts a V8 block.
Aesthetically, the New Bentley Continental GT V8 differs from the W12 version by its grid of grille split in two by a vertical bar chrome, its new bumpers, double its output in form of “8” or by its new rims 6 rays 20 or 21 inch exhaust.
But what interests us the most is located under the hood. The Continental GT V8 receives 8 cylinder bi-turbo V 4.0, 507 HP and 660 Nm of torque direct injection of the Audi S8. The Stop & Start as well as the judgment of half of the cylinders in certain situations, the Continental GT V8 does reject only 265 g/km of CO2 and is more efficient fuel of the order of 40% than the W12 version.
The new V8 is of course associated with permanent integral transmission as well as a 8 automatic transmission. Bentley has not yet unveiled its new workhorse performance but rumors are a 0 to 100 km/h shot down in less than 5 seconds for a speed of 290 km/h. The average fuel consumption should it be around 10.6 liters per 100 km.
Inside, technicians in Bentley have been a superb job with a rich and extremely well finished interior. Fact eucalyptus wood appeared on the then only two-color leather tack edge Board will be in harmony with the different hues of the passenger compartment. A huge program of customization will be also available
The New Bentley Continental GT V8 presented at the beginning of January at the Detroit Auto Show 2012. It should be accompanied by its declination convertible GTC.
