The organizers of the American Le Mans Series and Grand-Am announced how they would allocated the competitors from the 2014 season, year where the two series merge.
The first amendment to the existing structure has been to eliminate the category P1, the fastest of the ALMS tray.
Then, we chose to combine categories P2 (ALMS) and DP (Grand-AM). In this same class, will also run the famous DeltaWing.
PC (Prototype Challenge) of the ALMS cars will continue to be band apart in the new championship.
The two platoons GT from the ALMS and Grand-Am from, will continue to be also independent.
The fate of GTC (ALMS) and GX (Grand-Am) car has not yet been decided. It remains unclear if they will run separately or will be incorporated into the Grand-Am GT Pack.
