Perhaps foreshadowing a future replacement of the X-Trail, Nissan Hi-Cross Concept is exposed to the Geneva show with a hybrid engine. It shows that the Japanese brand has not finished in the mode of the crossovers.
Nissan already builds on its crossovers with the Juke, the Qashqai, Qashqai + 2, and the Murano, but the Japanese manufacturer does not appear to have finished developing its range as the prove the presence on its stand of the Hi-Cross Concept Geneva show.
Foreshadowing a possible broadening of the range, it is also there to assess a possible new direction for the design of the mark. In any case, if it goes to the version of series, it is show certainly more attractive than the X-Trail that it could replace.
Built on a revised version of the Nissan C platform (used for the Qashqai and X-Trail), the Hi-Cross Concept is based on a wheelbase of 2.78 meters. It is 4.66 meters long, 1.88 meters and 1.67 meters high. What’s new in the design are the light signature of the grille in V, and the line to fund part of the hood and stretches along the flanks to the amount the body D.
Under the hood, is a hybrid engine that combines an electric motor powered by a battery lithium-ion engine thermal gasoline direct injection 2.0. Transmission 4 wheel drive, as it should be with such a vehicle.
