New Koenigsegg Agera R 2013 Concept Geneva Motor Show 2012. After the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport speed and 1200 horses in the open air, Koenigsegg presents in Geneva an improved version of its Agera R.
The Koenigsegg Agera was known as one of the fastest and the most powerful cars in the world. For 2012, it offers some interesting technical innovations and a few additional horses.
Side style, are the radical lines of the Agera R and on this plan, changes are small. Watch hand rims very closely as they are steel, or aluminum: for the first time on a production car, they are entirely built in carbon fiber, one piece. A method for manufacturing Koenigsegg to win a rim metal weight, 20 kilograms in all. What also confer a unique look, which should very quickly be found tuners or other manufacturers of exception.
The New Koenigsegg Agera R also receives some extensive changes in its engine. The machining of its (eight) cylinder uses nanotechnology, a method for reducing friction and act on consumption. The red zone is pushed back to 7500 revolutions/minute (instead of 7250 revolutions/minute) and power increases further.
With conventional fuel, the engine sends now 960 horses to the rear wheels. With E85 fuel, this figure climbs to 1140 horses. Note that it is data of American horses (HP) power, horsepower DIN they should be even higher. The top speed is always announced in 440 km/h but it remains purely theoretical. This figure would be what beat the record of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport if it was verified.
Aerodynamics and suspensions also retouched. In short, the Agera R 2013 has everything to be included at the top of the list of the most powerful cars of the world. See in Geneva, pending any attempts of record of speed or acceleration (it already has in the 0 – 300 – 0 km/h).
