Two months after have revealed some information about its future Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid, Porsche allowed Wired magazine to attend trials on the Italian circuit of Nardò.

The Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid already rolls but as a prototype! The future hybrid supercar of Zuffenhausen made some towers of the circular tour of Nardo (Italy) under the eyes of our colleagues from Wired.

Assembly – to half – only a few weeks ago, this 918 Spyder is one of the three existing models. As announced in January in Christopher, official magazine of Porsche, the fireball uses V8 engine of the Porsche RS Spyder LMP2 with the engine displacement was increased to 4.6 liters.

578 Power ch, this gas block is supported by two electric motors, one of 122 installed ch near 7-speed and another 109 HP to push the front wheels. The total power displays 800 HP and a torque of 749 Nm (949 in overboost).

What is benefits, the Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid would devour the 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds with a maximum speed of 325 km/h. In all-electric mode, it could even reach 145 km/h of V-max for a range of 26 km, if not press the accelerator. 6.8 KWh battery recharge time is estimated at 3 a.m. to a 220V connector.

The project is not yet completely defined, but the new Porsche 918 Spyder should adopt a frame in aluminum and carbon fiber for a total weight of 1.680 kg. To discover in its final version must await the fair of Frankfurt 2013.
