Mazda and Fiat has been signed an agreement confirming that the Japanese produce, by 2015, an Alfa Spider on the basis of the next MX-5. Postmarketing imminent cut 4C, this is a second new balm that will put at the heart of Alfisti. After a declaration of intent in May 2012, Mazda Motor Corporation and Fiat Group Automobiles SpA have announced the signing of a definitive agreement confirming that Mazda will produce a two-seat Spider for Alfa Romeo.

The car will be produced in the factory Mazda in Hiroshima, Japan, starts 2015. The new Spider will benefit from the architecture of the next generation MX-5, which means that its propulsion will be provided by the rear wheels. A good news, especially as both sides insist that both models will have different bodies and engines.

Alfa must expect to find the evolution of the 1750 turbo soon to be inaugurated by the 4C coupe. This engine will be known all locations: in front transverse 159 and Giulietta, the 4C rear transverse and longitudinal therefore before the Spider. It should also take advantage of the dual-clutch TCT box.

Remains how Alfa Romeo will call his new roadster? Spider or simply going to add it famous Duetto, a tribute to the model launched in 1966? The Paris Auto Show are open.
