To tantalize the upcoming barge, Porsche today released some pictures of prototype of the Porsche 918 Spyder in a heavy robe as a symbol. Porsche and Martini Racing livery, it’s an ongoing story that continues today through a new partnership. In tribute to the Martini Racing team, whose success in the 70th are passed into history, Porsche resumes its superb body of that time on Porsche 918 Spyder.
More than two months after the history of official spyshots showing a Porsche 918 Spyder in a livery some grafted number 5, Porsche presents the cover with a version Martini Racing that it also refers to the past. Discovered there a few days via photos stolen at the Nürburgring with Walter Röhrl, Porsche formalizes the renewal of this historic partnership.
Seen with logos mythical black and white on the Nordschleife is the color that Porsche revealed today. The Porsche will launch a Martini Racing edition of its next Porsche 918 Spyder combines therefore the image of a future ultra sportive combined with the nostalgia of the past. This duo comes from an agreement between the two brands, Porsche is being heard with Bacardi, Martini current owner since 1992. Official Partner of the Porsche stable between 1973 and 1978, the Martini Racing has delivered one of the few cults of motorsport like the Gulf colors. The Porsche competing in the colors of Martini Racing finished first in the Targa Florio, in 1973, the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1971, 1976 and 1977 and World Championship sports cars in 1976 among other victories.
In the press release accompanying the images, we learn that the Porsche 918 Spyder prototype has seen a few weeks ago entered a new phase of development which will be held for many on the Nordschleife. The announced goal is to fall under the 7’22” for this hybrid car that combines an internal combustion engine and electric 2, all producing 770 c.
It should be noted that the Porsche 918 Spyder displays a fuel consumption of 3L/100 km approximately 70 gr/km CO2 releases. Note for the record the monohull in CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced polymer), mobile aerodynamic elements and high exhaust characteristic of this model. A high-performance internal engine combustion and electric engines, all generating a combined 770 horse power.
The marketing of the 2013 Porsche 918 Spyder is scheduled for 2013, and buyers will be able to obtain the body in Martini Racing colors.
